It was inevitable – as Paula and Kelly begot Sass and Ryan (this isn’t the time for Ross Petty jokes, but don’t worry, we’re cooking something up), so Tyra, Janice, and all those hoards of wonderfully bitch-faced girls will beget Alberta’s Tricia Helfer and a politer, gentler legacy of wannabe models. City TV has announced that the search for Canada’s Next Top Model is on. Any ladies over five foot seven (and between the ages of 18 and 27) who are so inclined may check out the hefty application – we especially like how they ask you to rate your current romantic relationship on a scale of 1 to 10. Torontoist has neither the inclination nor the sweater meat to embark on such a venture ourselves, but we do love a good Canadian catfight, so you can bet we’ll be watching come spring.
