Readers can probably tell by now that TOist firmly believes that quality playtime makes for one hell of a date, and it is this immature theory of romance that brings us to the third spot on our list – the Science Centre. What makes the Science Centre a great spot for a date is the same thing that makes it a great spot for anything – it is tons of fun. For folks who grew up in Toronto, the OSC was a staple of childhood, but even for those without a nostalgic frame of reference, it is pretty well impossible not to have a good time. There is a pair of satellite dishes that will let you whisper sweet nothings to one another from across the room, a rainforest through which to take a romantic stroll, a bizarre history of birth control that will inspire extreme gratitude for the low-dose pill, and, of course, the Science Arcade. And right now you can test the strength of your squeeze’s stomach at Body Worlds 2. After all, there’s nothing like the sight of a preserved corpse to get a nice girl to jump daintily into your arms.
