The best way to take a break from this whole Gomery broohaha, we thought to ourselves yesterday, was to pick up one of our favourite local Euro newspapers, The European Reporter. And it worked. We got our non-Gomery fill right on the front page, with news that the Cardigans finally released another record. But whilst dabbling in local-serving international newspapers, we came across another good read in a Chinese-language broadsheet called Today’s Daily News. The publication only launched yesterday, and hopes to grab some of 400,000 or so Chinese-speakers in the GTA.
With 現代生活雜誌 on Saturdays and the special 現代周刊 on Sundays, this could fast overtake the European Reporter as our go-to international news source. It’ll be free until November 4, after which it’ll go for 50 cents an issue. 歇斯底里!
