Even Tourism is Suffering
Gotta love the nonstory that goes something like:
Miller has been under heavy criticism lately from critics who say he’s not doing enough to combat street violence.
When Miller ran for mayor in 2003, his chief rival, John Tory – now the provincial Conservative leader – accused him of being soft on crime.
Miller suggested it was leaders like Tory who were using fear to get elected. This week, Miller’s message on gun crime has grown tougher.
All that slow news guff, when the real meat is in the first paragraph of the very same article. It informs us that the violence that has prompted John Tory to attack David Miller is the very same violence that has prompted MDM to leave his family vacation. Which makes us wonder where good old Boom Boom goes on vacation. Disneyworld? Pickering? Bora Bora? Whatever our Mayor’s choice of idyll, we hope he gets back there soon. It’s just too hot in town.
