Toronto is home to world-class photobloggers. Earlier this year, Sam Javanrouh’s Daily Dose of Imagery won a Bloggie for best international photoblog. PhotoJunkie by Rannie Turingan took the best in Canada prize. Sam and Rannie do an amazing job of capturing moments in our city that generally pass unseen or underappreciated. And now, with photo communities like Flickr, they’re not the only ones sharing digital bytes of our town.
Flickr is a photo sharing website that’s free to join. Images are easy to upload, even done by email or cameraphone. If a photo is classified as public, it’s available for anyone to see.
With Flickr, photos can be categorized with keywords (or tags), which makes it easy to search for images with common tags across the entire community.
