On with the ice cream list! Here’s your number four…
4. Ed’s Real Scoop (2224 Queen St. E.)
Torontoist loves ice cream cones. We also love beaches. So it should be no real surprise that we choose Ed’s as one of our five favourite ice cream jointz in the city. Check from their website:
Today we serve homemade ice cream made in front of our customers for all to see, frozen yogurt and gelato along with handmade chocolates, fudge, real hot chocolate and coffees. Only natural ingredients and real fruits. No fillers or artificial flavourings used!
As one of Toronto Life’s picks for best cone, and ostensibly due to their enviable locale in the summer, Ed’s does very well for a family business. The store is nice and the website is nicer. Only stay away if you’re fat conscious – Ed’s might be the creeeeeamiest in the city, and offer few sorbets. Also, fudge. For all others, it’s very worth the trip to the eastern part of the beaches. For real.
