3. The Bier Market (58 The Esplanade)
Don’t think so? Read the description on Toronto.com, which rarely comes this clean:
A scene from a typical Friday night at a downtown bar: freshly-applied lip gloss catches the light and the eyes of some not-so-eligible bachelors on the prowl; chic city couples cocktail; flirting foursomes of sports jocks fall over themselves hoping to catch that nanosecond glance of the beautiful pretending-to-be-waiting-for-someone babe. And that’s the typical scene at Bier Market, too…
This is a very accurate description of what goes on there, except for the word “typical” – it’s more accurately predictable. Unfortunately for some, this is only for the extremely bland and very buff. But we guess those are usually the people doing the picking-up anyways.
