25 Years and Counting?
The Pride slogan is so dry it sounds like a Bank tagline: 25 Years and Counting? Nerdy name aside, things kick off today with the official proclamation and flag raising at noon. According to the city, “Flag raisings enhance public awareness of activities such as fund-raising drives, multi-cultural events and national or independence days.” But anyone can request to use the courtesy flagpole, which is loaned out on a first cone first serve basis…so dust off your novelty flags!
But back to Pride. You have two hours to get down to City Hall to hear Mr. Mayor read the proclamation.
