Olivia Clubs the Clubs
City Council is saying no to nightclubs, putting a moratorium on new clubs in clubland for at least the next year. Thank goodness for Lucid. We kid. Joe is where it’s at.
Council is putting the kibosh on new Walmart Dancehalls because things are getting “out of control,” according to one Olivia Chow, who says new condo dwellers will be none too happy about their noisy nabe. Though we’re no fan of the Saturday night scene down on Richmond Street, we have to wonder what kind of condo purchasers would dig into such a location without knowing of the hordes that descend upon that patch of concrete each weekend.
