From Fishwrap to Rap

The dynamic duo of Sable and Batalion are at it again, with their distinctive hybrid of hip hop, storytelling, bright costumes and creative use of hair gel. Tonight, they open ‘Hip Hop for Dumeez,’ at the Tarragon, a show that promises to “teach you everything you need to know about hip-hop in 5 easy lessons, from freestyling to bling bling.” And if you didn’t catch their ridiculously good Job the Hip Hop Musical when it did the fringe rounds, now might be the time to catch up. They also have a new cd out, because “they may be jokers but they ain’t no joke.”
