TTC Says ‘Pass it On’
Howie Moscoe thinks it’s important to keep things ‘inventive,’ so upon the twenty-fifth anniversary of a certain card of cards, metropasses are going transferable. The move will allow adult cardholders to pass their cards off to friends and family so long as they’re not riding at the same time. Projections for lost revenue run from $1 million to $2.8 million. TOist doesn’t see the benefit in it for the TTC (which will accomodate 2.2 mil new rides as a result of the change), but we’re all for free things, and reduced transit costs. And sharing. So pass it on.
