Mayor Dave Pulls a Plaza
Mayor Miller is pulling a Plaza hotel on us, except instead of turning a storied hotel into a hotel/condo hybrid, he’s hybridizing from the get go. Along with honchos from the Marriott-Ritz Carlton of course. Together, they’re announcing grand plans for a Ritzier TO today. TOist guesses, then, that with a TTC strike deftly sidestepped, Mayor Mill’s got time on his hands to take part in such fluff fests. Maybe he’s gunning for a suite named after him. Or at the very least, his name engraved on all the brooms.
Kidding aside, we must mention that the release states that the “City has earned its place as one of the most cosmopolitan in the world.” And cosmopolitanism equals ‘World Class City.” Where the bloody hell is our megaphone? We must get outside and spread the ‘World Class City’ word.
