That is SO Gay…
Fab Magazine, the free gay monthly with the David Miller-in-tight-leather cover last year, has started a massive postcard campaign with a same-sex marriage message to our federal MP’s. One card thanks Paul “promise made promise kept” Martin with a hunky thumbs up, and the other has the ever-disparaging middle digit for Steve “notwithstanding” Harper.
The postcards are a reaction to the numerous and much publicized campaigns from the religious right (isn’t the right wing a religion in itself?), encouraging MP’s to stand up against human rights.
On the back of the Martin postcard, Fab writes, “Thank you for upholding the Charter and protecting the rights of gays and lesbians. You rock!”
The homosexual note for Harp warns him to “[s]top instigating hatred against gays and lesbians and stifling minority rights.” And, to add a little salt and pepper to the message, Fab adds, “Your attitude sucks!”
Although the mail-ins may have little effect on raving heterosexuals like Harper, the friendly message must warm the heart of our huggable Prime Minister. The postcards compliment the National Gay and Lesbian Wedding Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre this Sunday.
