Dare to Dream 2005

image002.gifFive Provinces, Two Friends, One Canoe, One Thousand Dreams! The slogan of the outdoors expedition that will see two friends paddling across the Canadian countryside with one goal in mind – Charity! Le Pistol drummer Drew Osborne will be teaming up with longtime pal Clare Cayley for the four-month adventure that begins mid-April when they will place their canoe in the North Saskatchewan River.
The premise behind the journey is to replicate the paths taken by our countrys 18th century fur traders, with the proceeds being donated to the Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada.
With physical demands that Vince Carter could not even fathom, both Drew and Clare have endured extensive physical and survival training to prepare for their unaided journey from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta all the way to Montreal, Quebec.
Drew and Claire met during their time at North Toronto Collegiate, and after several years at their respective universities, have reunited to complete their goal. The adventure, aptly named Dare to Dream 2005, is just that… A long anticipated dream of two great humanitarians and Canadian heroes.
Unfortunately a dark cloud floats over the journey as word has it Torontoist editor Josh was thrown into a tizzy due to circling rumours that Drew had a bushier beard than him.
