CBC 3’s Second to Last Call
CBC Radio 3 will go on hi-a-tus March 4th. It’s being called some sort of rejig operation, hopefully nothing like Ashlee’s Simpson’s jig rejig. CBC Radio 3 has long been a TOist favourite, but our in-cube sources tell us the site never got the traffic. Why, one wonders, when they featured great recorded shows, good articles, and occasionally finicky but always beautiful design. We’ll remember, with particular fondness, a Billy Bragg show they aired a few years back. It was better than so good. With any luck the retool/revamp/fire and rehire that is going on over there will bring us a CBC Radio3 that is pretty close to the old one.
