Nature is a Whore

2005-03-09-canadablooms.JPGThis Torontoist couldn’t make a flower grow on the sunniest and wettest day of the year, in a jungle. Does that even make sense? While we don’t know anything about gardening, a lot of other people do, like the people running this year’s Canada Blooms, the Toronto Flower & Garden Show.
The Canada Blooms event includes about 200 retailers who know all about growing plants and making gardens. The show is expected to attract nearly 100,000 people, some who want to pay people to garden for them, some people who want to learn more about gardening themselves, and others who just like gardeners. The Toronto Star recently interviewed garden horticultural coordinator for Canada Blooms and host of HGTV’s One Garden, Two Looks, Charlie Dobbin. It’s worth reading if you are interested in the event.
Canada Blooms, the Toronto Flower & Garden Show starts today and runs through the 13th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
