Almost Crimes (Pearson Blogging Detainment Mix)
What colour alert is this? United States Homeland Security is cracking down on blogger threats – or at least business and technology bloggers. Customs officials detained, strip searched, and ultimately refused entry to Toronto blogger Jeremy Wright before a flight to New York City last Wednesday. Tough U.S. customs questioned Wright for almost three hours, causing him to miss his flight. Officials apparently did not recognize ‘pro-blogging’ as a career (perhaps they read the eye article?). Wright, of the business-minded Ensight.org, was going to the States to see about expanding his blogging empire. Yikes.
