A Congratulatory Mixtape

2005_01_07mixtape.gifTorontoist doesn’t usually like to single people out, but we feel that a healthy “congratulations” are an order for our very own sports editor, Adrian. Last week, our most adorable staff writer was on hand in Guelph, Ontario to accept a degree from the prestigious Guelph University. After seven years of battling administration and wearing backwards mesh hats, Adrian has finally earned the right to wear the cap and gown.
adorable.gifSo the next time you see his Adorableness driving around in his grey 1996 Buick, with the chromes spinning and the sports radio blasting, you are not only seeing an extremely good-looking Torontoist writer, but an extremely good-looking, university educated Torontoist writer. Congrats, Age!
Now here are some songs:
1. Prefuse 73 ft. Ghostface and El-P – “Hideyaface” (El-P Remix)
This Underground HipHop link that will probably be the best collaboration since De La Soul and MF Doom. (Or at least until Ghostface and Doom throw down later this year, as reported by Pitchfork.)
2. Montag – “Perfect Vision”
Featuring Toronto beauty Amy Millan on the vocal tip.

3. The Wedding Present – “Interstate 5”
Not quite as good as Highway 61 Revisited, nor as fun as that Freeway/Jay Z jam, but a lot better than STP’s “Interstate Love Song.”
Read Frank’s review here.
4. The Great Lakes Swimmers – “Bodies and Minds”
Listen to the CMW favourite’s new song here.
5. Daft Punk – “Human After All” Promo
Just a reminder that there are this many seconds until the new Daft Punk album.
Until next week (throws graduation cap in the air)!
