Filling the Holes in Our Road Coverage
The Globe has a great pothole explainer this morning – more facts and figures than you could ever hope to fill your head with, from number of potholes patched per year (55,000) to amount spent to repair said holes ($3 million!). Moreover, the Toronto Pothole Patrol is a crack team (ha!) of a hundred employees strong, who can fill in up to 1,000 holes per day. Which is surprising, because TOist has seen the same potholes for so long they’ve become old chums (Typical morning banter. US: How goes it? Neighbourly Pothole: I’m cracking under the pressure, man.)
