At the CBC Dressing Rooms: ‘Who Used All the Hair Gel?’
Shinan blows us away this morning, with revelations of a blackberry throwdown over at a certain Front Street Cube. There’s only so much hair gel at the CBC, and therefore there can only be so many hipster hosts. What we didn’t realize was that there was still a contest between played out Ghomeshi and Hour of glory Stromboulopoulos. But apparently there is. And apparently Ghomeshi is trying to rise above that unfortunate gig talking music with Sheilagh Rogers one Blackberry challenge at a time. Ghomeshi challenged Strombo to go a day without his blackberry, and while we don’t much care about who can abstain from playing with his little toy the best, we do find the whole dueling divas of the national broadcaster angle interesting indeed.
But back to Shinan. TOist has another suggestion for a hipster changing of the guards. Get rid of that smarmy guy who hosts the corpse’s so-hip-it-really-does-hurt (ouch!) radio show, Go, and give the berth to Govani. Then we can call him Go Govani.
