That’s One Trashy Township
A small Ontario township is putting forth a solution to help Toronto get rid of its waste. They’ll take it. Approximately 120 truckloads per day of it. While offering to trash your town (pop. 7,000) in the name of a buck is certainly an enterprising way to generate cash, TOist wonders how the citizens (those who aren’t jumping to sell their land) will react to the Mayor of Southgate’s fine, fine plan.
So we can’t divert all of our waste, but we can keep it local. Which seems only fair.
