Canada-Nein Relations on the Ups
Though they live deep in the heart of the “Red States,” Raleigh, North Carolina’s The Nein are making a habit of visiting the country described as “essentially Honduras.” Signed to Hamilton’s Sonic Unyon, the art-punk trio (and sometimes quatro) don’t seem to mind Canada’s progressive values and rampant dogsledding, as they play the Wavelength concert series this Sunday night at Sneaky Dee’s and Tuesday at the Horseshoe. Catch the post-post punk band before they become the post-post-post punk band. Listen to Nein’s “Handout” here and look out for the Nein debut album is due in stores in early 2005.
