On Baited Breath
Torontoist has been sitting in the greenly-hued deathchamber of our office, patiently waiting for CBC Arts to launch their revamped arts portal. Why the holdup, we protest mildly. We got the press release weeks ago, and we’re both tired of the stale briefs that constitute the mothership’s arts coverage at present, and wildly excited by what looks like it might shape up to be a really great comprehensive arts site. Perhaps the brass gave the new recruits a tour of the Rubik’s cube and lost them in an infrequently-travelled hallway. Whatever the cause for delay, bring it on! Or in the spirit of trying to be less wordy and more succinct, bring it. Perhaps if Kerry had lopped off that gratuitous ‘on,’ he would’ve won. These are the things Torontoist must potter about in our head, with no national arts portal to turn our coy heads to.
