McQuaig to Big Oil: You are Crude!
Torontoist has liked Linda McQuaig since we first saw her work – that brilliant cameo on the Newsroom a few seasons back. There was Peter Keleghan wanting to talk about ‘Shooting the Hippo,’ and Canada’s Larry David, Ken Finkleman, foppishly inviting her on the show because he thought she was cute. Both actors looked silly next to McQuaig. We’re aware of her other work, the bestselling treatises on this, that and the other, but, well, we don’t actually read. Much. So tonight’s U of T sponsored McQuaig fest might be the perfect opportunity to get off the proverbial couch, and into the highly politicized reading room. McQuaig will be reading from her new book, ‘It’s the Crude, Dude,’ and the audience will be silently promising itself never to drive a car again. Complicity killed the cat!
