iStore an iSore?

imagespod.jpgiPod, iTunes, iMovie, iYawn…I mean, Torontoist yawns. We here at Torontoist must maintain our collective voice, regardless of the dominance of the individual, the Apple consumer, the ‘i.’ And since we’re ostracized by any commercial body that would seek to promote such individuality at the expense of a silly, omniscient voice like ours, well, Torontoist can only say bah at recent reports that iTunes’ Canada store is, in the words of a flackie for the big Jobber himself, ‘postponed.’ Perhaps when Apple truly embraces the ‘we’ in all of us we’ll then be able to grow as a music-consuming populace, and have our 99 cent songs (ah, but how will they account for recent changes in our dollar? shouldn’t they just call them loonietunes anyway?) delivered in a timely and tuneful manner. Until then, Torontoist will continue to sate its iPod with old fashioned music, the kind that comes in square-ish, easily digestible, occasionally pretty units.
