Feisty? Affirmative.
Much can be gleaned from a little compare and contrast, so let’s continue our ‘Choose-a-Chanteuse’ (works if you pronounce it Chantooze!) contest with a little open floor discussion. Did Torontoist like the Feist concert? Do cows like grass? Actually, not sure about the second one. But the show was amazing. Feist is both siren and rock star. And Torontoist was both smitten and tired of having our feet stepped on by girls in pointy shoes. We particularly liked:
– the altcountry rocking out on Mushaboom.
– Feist’s ability to sing along with her pre-recorded backups, and still give us the chills.
– the four song encore.
– to entertain the thought that someday Feist and the similarly brilliantly-voiced Martha Wainwright may get together and sing the torch song of a duet to end all torch song duets.
How was Keren-Ann? Did she also wear white? Did she also stage a time-killing kissing contest? In the words of one bird-wived former US pres, ‘Let us reason together!’ Choose a Chanteuse!
