With a concession speech imminent, we here in Canada are bracing for the onslaught of Americans who’ve sworn they’d move here upon Bush’s re-election. There’s even a push for a ‘Canadist’ blog on our sister site Gothamist’s comment boards. Need to cheer yourself up? Need to revel in the absurdity of a possibly deranged former QB being elected over what a Fox pundit called a ‘squeaky voiced’ Democratic challenger? Well, perhaps it’s time to step away from all this hell called politics, and sink into the banality of poplife for a few minutes of relief from the mental anguish that has wracked us all lo these past twenty-four hours.
