Sex, Rock and Bowl?
What is this place called Vaughan and how is it lucky enough to house Toronto’s “Newest Hotspot?” Yesterday, Torontoist’s inbox was graced with a frightful flyer and press release for Lucky Strike Lanes, a sexy bowling alley in a sexy shopping mall in sexy Vaughan. It’s all a bit much, and derivative too, when you remember that NYC’s Bowlmor has got a monopoly on sexy, tasteless bowling. Of course, it could also mean that Toronto is, once and for all, a truly world class city, in possession of all the requisite amenities that other top tier towns enjoy. 
And the sexy bowling trend is a sociological marvel to behold. Gone is the Lebowskian shlubbery, the greasy tater tots, and the gangs of former high school friends who still get together, with increasing awkwardness, to crack old jokes and reminisce about gym class. Nope, sexy bowling means hosted bars, hors d’oeurves, and lane fees that rival the GDP’s of small island nations (at least at Bowlmor). But Lucky Strike is here, for good times and gutter balls. Bring your own tots.
