Remembrance Day

capoppy.gifTorontoist likes the lovely poppy, and appreciates when people navigate those treacherous pins to put them on their lapels. City Hall marks the day with a 10:30am ceremony at the Old City Hall Cenotaph (Queen and Bay).
Of course, if City Hall ceremonies aren’t your cup of tea, you could also participate in the 11:00am ceremony at the Zoo, ‘where vets and their guests get in free!’ Kind of tacky, but not nearly as tacky as that Bell commercial that we’ve seen at the movie theatre. You know, the really cloying one where the grandson travels Europe so he can call grandpa from Dieppe. Thanks Bell. Your borderline offensive ad campaign was enough to deter us from signing up for bundle.
