The headline for this post wrote itself, in as much as the title of Canadian/gay/polaroid-lovin/tryptych happy Evergon’s lecture at Hart House tonight is actually called Let’s Get Naked. Fitting indeed, as most of Evergon’s lithe and lovely subjects are shot naked. Fitting indeeder, because Evergon’s even shot portraits of his confidently normal mum in the buffest of buffs. Torontoist enjoyed the occasional Evergon siting and/or lecture in the hallowed halls of Concordia Fine Arts – His practice is unlike any other polaroidists. Each shot is a meticulously planned affair, as large-scale exposures can cost thousands of dollars per. Plus, any opportunity to wander the Harry Potteresque hallways of Hart House is an opportunity worth taking, especially to see the portrait gallery and library. Nudity and erudity.
