Last week, because we were completely distracted by Dock in a Box, we didn’t mention our sadness at the loss of both Ingmar Bergman and Michelangelo Antonioni. We also couldn’t think of a Director bad enough to lament the continued existence of in the same breath.

Is there a word for fear of lines? queuphobia? Whatever. TIFF has nearly passed, and as the media environment clears of five-minute celebrity interviews and capsule reviews, a whole array of other cinematic choices emerge.
Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie are two mildly eccentric, highly interesting artists whose work is a mixture of dance, film and multiple dimensions. Torontoist had the opportunity to attend their gallery talk over the weekend, and was sufficiently enchanted with their 25-minute 3d video installation, Men in the Wall, to heartily recommend it to you. 3d glasses make any exhibit better. And weird, chortling, mangy-haired art enthusiasts make any exhibit worse. Luckily, we know that guy has already seen the show, so check it. At Trinity Square Video until December 2nd, and, by jove, it's free.
There'll also be a 3-D piece by UK artists Billy Cowie and Liz Aggiss at Trinity Square Video that looks all kinds of awesome. The exhibition starts November 5th.
