If you have any intention of using any or all of Barrie Transit, Brampton Transit, Burlington Transit, Durham Region Transit, GO Transit, Guelph Transit, Hamilton Street Railway, Milton Transit, Mississauga Transit, Oakville Transit, Orangeville Transit, Region of Peel Transhelp, Toronto Transit Commission, or York Region Transit between today and December 28, the list is an invaluable look at how you will and won't be able to get around over the next week.

TTC Chair Adam Giambrone has responded to Toronto bloggers' (that's us, BlogTO, Reading Toronto, and Spacing) open letter to the TTC about fixing their website. And the news is allll good.
When Torontoist joined forces with blogTO, Reading Toronto, and Spacing and asked our readers for feedback on the TTC's website at the beginning of this month, we had absolutely no idea that we would get such an enormous response. We'd like to thank you all again for participating, and we've taken each and every one of the ideas that we received to heart. Now, it's time to move forward. The Editors and Publishers of all four participating sites have decided to submit to submit the following letter with our suggestions to Chairman Adam Giambrone:
Tomorrow, knitters in the city have plans to take over the Toronto Transit Commission with a TTC Knit-A-Long. Two groups will meet at different spots in the city and pit their knitting prowess against each other. They will converge in Kensington Market for lunch and then do their final knit-off on streetcars ending with a grand prize. There will be many opportunities to munch before, during and after.
In 1800's France, during the time of novelist Victor Hugo, the underground was considered a thriving spot for young love. With a backdrop of smelly water and rats, a stroll through the famous sewers of Paris was the ultimate display of courtship. Just as couples would spend hours wandering through intricate tunnels deep below the streets of Paris, modern romantics are spending more time getting to know one another in the Toronto underground.
