Now that National Poetry Month is over, it’s time to recover from the full schedule of festivities (spring detox cocktails, anyone?), and to share poems which garnered Honourable Mentions in Torontoist’s Toronto Poetry Contest. Watch out for five new Toronto poems and poets in May.

Sure, it's expensive and plagued with corporate infighting, but it gets us where we want to go (for the most part) and there's a soothing comfort in the gentle rumble of our slick red streetcars. There's also a certain pride that many TTC riders have; a camaraderie rooted in the shared experience of Riding The Rocket -- which is why we're distraught at the TTC's woefully bungled merchandise plan.

So, for cinema goers who aren’t moved by the idea of Sprockets as described below (perhaps you don’t have children, perhaps you hate children, perhaps you hate children when they’re in cinemas, which Torontoist can understand), what is on offer for you loves?
