If you're like us (and, God willing, you’re not), then you're utterly exasperated by the ongoing steroid scandal in Major League Baseball. You're puzzled that the United States Congress has nothing better to do than to interrogate multimillionaire athletes who might've used performance-enhancing drugs. Moreover, you're wondering why, this past Wednesday morning, no fewer than three Canadian sports networks were showing live coverage of the Roger Clemens hearing. Is it really that important? Regardless,......

The rumour mill is swirling around the Maple Leafs this week, as a less-than-stellar season and mixed signals from club ownership lead to daily reports about the fate of the team's management and captain. With all signs pointing to a third straight early vacation at season's end, the team's followers are steamed. A seven (!!) alarm fire destroyed a building at Queen and Sherbourne. The building was occupied by a paint store which had been there since 1913. Firefighters rushed to the scene to stop the fire from spreading. King Jong Il is "very sorry" about the nuclear test. Also, the leader of Korea expressed sentiments such as "it would totally be cool" if he could have "an awesome sleepover party" sometime in the near future......

Bramptonite and ex-NHLer forward Mike Danton was sentenced yesterday to a seven and a half year prison sentence for a bizarre murder-for-hire plot in East St. Louis. And by the by, the word 'bizarre' is not our word, but a term used by U.S. District Judge William Stiehl, when he said, "I do not believe in over 18 years on the bench I have been faced with a case as bizarre as this one." The......
