POLITICS: It's Federal Election time! Torontoist will be liveblogging the results this evening, so make sure you've read up on all of our election coverage in advance. Go vote! Seriously! Various locations (find yours here), 9:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m., FREE.

BENEFIT: Today is Sunnybrook's Underwear Affair, which is a 5k walk and 10k run in support of colorectal, prostate, ovarian, cervical, testicular, uterine, and other below-the-waist cancers. It's the first race of its kind in Toronto; Underwear Affairs have happened before in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and Los Angeles. The course starts in Woodbine Park and goes through Tommy Thompson Park. Participants are encouraged to hit the road in their undies or other silly costumes, because really, nothing is sexier than a horde of nearly-exposed dudes with super sweaty balls. Woodbine Park (at Coxwell Road and Lakeshore Boulevard), 6 p.m., FREE (to watch).

With temperatures finally floating above zero, tonight's the tonight to dance and drink away the dregs of winter. And tomorrow morning? Head to the Gladstone Hotel for hangover brunch at noon... then start the party all over again with Shameless Magazine. The glossy for "girls who get it" is fêting the launch of the latest issue at the Gladstone Ballroom from 1—4 p.m. Saturday, March 15, with a something-for-everyone celebration.

Keri and Charity are two residents who lost everything on Wednesday morning. By that afternoon, a Facebook group (called Ker-ity) had already been set up with the sole purpose of helping them replace what was lost. Torontoist was alerted to the efforts by Erin Dermo, Managing Director of The Ten Spot (less than a block away from the blaze), who has been approaching local businesses to see if they can donate anything that might help. So far, aside from The Ten Spot’s own contributions, nearby businesses like Heel Boy (yes, they donated shoes), The Bier Markt, and Brazen Hussy have all been very generous with much-needed items and gift certificates. The coordinators of the drive (including Dermo and yoga instructor Caren Cooper of Jivita Yoga) are accepting clothing, shoes, and gift certificates at Essensuals Salon (678 Queen Street West). They're also asking for people who have any household items to offer to hang onto them until a storage space or apartment can be found. Don't have any stuff to give? Hey, money always helps—they're accepting Paypal donations at donations@kerity.ca and they'll also be opening a TD Canada Trust account in the next day or so. When we think of Disney our minds don't usually jump to wedding dresses, but players in the Canadian bridal industry are hoping you’ll think cartoon princesses when planning your grown-up “special day.” It only makes good marketing sense given that the big, white wedding dream is often one we come up with, or get forced upon us, in childhood. If you manage to keep that (perhaps unrealistic) dream alive, why not be honest about it and dress up in a fictional princess-inspired frock?
