As Canada's largest city, we are most likely responsible for the continued existence of Girlicious, the singing quartet created by Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin on the television show The Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, the sequel to the ridiculously titled The Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. After the show ended, MuchMusic put Girlicious on three of its shows: Live@Much, MuchOnDemand, and the MMVAs. We're guessing that led to their two singles "Stupid Shit" (video probably not safe for work) and "Like Me" landing in the top twenty on our charts, with the latter peaking at number four. The only other place where "Stupid Shit" got any reception? According to Wikipedia, Bulgaria. Finally, there was enough anticipation for their eponymous debut album, released last week, that Girlicious reached the second position on the iTunes album charts.

The Spice Girls are done––Geri Halliwell stuck the final nail in their room-for-five coffin last week when she told reporters that a tour like the one they're on now "probably won't happen ever again." Which means that the concert on February 26 in Toronto will be the band's last ever, maybe! While Baby and Sporty and Scary and Ginger will probably all continue on with their half-successful solo careers, Victoria Beckham––Posh––will continue doing what she does best: being famous, and doing stuff that famous people do.

Two men who went on a Hollywood-worthy crime spree Saturday night and Sunday morning are being sought in a carjacking, shooting, three robberies, and a high-speed police chase. Descriptions of the suspects have now been released—if this is you, please turn yourself in.

Sorry Spice Girls: R.E.M. just one-upped you in the "most exciting concert of 2008" department.

Honest Ed's turkey giveaway successful like always. Which, Torontoist supposes, is not technically "news," but considering the rest of today's actual news, we felt it appropriate to lead off with a softball.

Apparently, we really really really wanna zig a zig, hah.
