Toronto Public Health's Antoine Nikolopoulos has gotten back to us; he's the Entertainment District's Environmental Health Officer, and yesterday he inspected Second Cup's 307 Queen Street West location after Kate Bowen spotted a mouse inside the store on Sunday morning and sent photos along to us.

A question has long been looming in Canada, especially among the big four mobility carriers, as to whether or not they can make a go of a pay-per-use model. But outlandish prices like these make one realize that we can't expect a fair pay-per-use model when greed resonates. If TOist needs WiFi, we will certainly be drinking coffee elsewhere.
When you’re toting your laptop around and want to fire off a couple emails and post a blog update, Toronto is a pretty desolate place. Canadian Starbucks locations are not Wi-Fi enabled, though our neighbors to the south are able to buy access accounts that work in locations all over the country. Coffee chain Second cup, is now teasing the geek set with free hotspots.
It's all a numbers game, right. Hospitals need $200M, Police budget gets a $5M raise, and Second Cup raises its cup cost to a ridiculous $1.35. So to preface any discussion of homelessness and housing, perhaps we need a little by-the-numbers. In this one instance alone, we'll let the Star's suggestion that Mayor Miller be a bit more Mayor Bloomberg (as in, dismally unpopular NYC Mayor Mike) slide, and do a little municipal housing compare and contrast (imagine Miller as Goofus, and Bloomberg as Gallant, or vice versa!):
