December is party season, but what if you don't feel like dancing? There's more to holiday dressing than disco-ball metallics and electro-shock hues. Indeed, in today's ever-flashier scene, you're most likely to stand out in a standby—the little black dress. Luckily for you nineties types, local label Common Cloth is a step ahead on the road back to minimalism. For their current fall/winter collection, scissor sisters Melanie Talbot and Kristina Bozzo cut refined, modern......

It's finally here - the week of festival hell insanity. Got your wristbands and earplugs ready? Canadian Music Week kicks off on Wednesday with the Indie Awards at The Docks, and Thursday to Saturday will have you running around town trying to catch as many acts as possible. On Saturday TOist enjoyed the warm weather with a stroll through Yorkville where we saw man-about-town Stephen Dorff at Hemingway’s.  Toronto Star’s resident star watcher Rita Zekas also spotted Stephen with his new girlfriend Pam Anderson, again in Yorkville, this time outside of Café Nervosa.  He's in Toronto filming the new flick, .45, with Milla Jovovich and Andie MacDowell.  After a tiring day of people watching and celeb spotting we headed over to local jeweler......
