Rosie DiManno sucks. Every day (or so), poor Toronto Star readers are subjected to another over-the-top, awkwardly-written, occasionally-insulting column about the day's top depressing story from the purple-streaked purveyor of pulp. It's about time someone took out the trash. DiManno Watch has been dormant for two months. The last article on Torontoist––three DiManno articles in one––was a little much; no-one can take that much Rosie DiManno, and it sure is easy to get carried away......

We think the Toronto mediasphere is wayyy to civilized and friendly. Anyone who follows media blogs in places like NYC or London know that there's constant back-biting, rivalries, jealousies and cattiness. Petty, some would say but entertaining to many many more. The feud that we thought may have started between Onstad and McLaren after the former Post film critic put a thinly veiled character based on McLaren in her new novel never truly materialized. So......

A couple of months back Torontoist wrote about the sushi stretch on Bloor Street. Our readers weighed in recommending favourite places and eventually went to the other extreme and raved about fish and chip places they liked. Recently, Toronto Life contributor Ryan Bigge followed up on our observations and wrote up a chart for the most recent issue. Sadly much of this chart was hacked because of space constraints. The Accordion Guy, Toronto's loveable and long blogging Joey de Villa, has been written about twice in a month in the Globe. The first time round, blogger Ryan Bigge wrote about deVilla's impending marriage, and now, Globe Careers has a piece on blogs that net jobs, complete with sidebar on using one to get you a gig. Torontoist likes the attention being paid to the city's deserving bloggers, but it's hard not to feel that......
