Studies show that two-thirds of Ontario farmers use conservation tillage (which reduces greenhouse gas emissions) and have cut down pesticide use by 52%. Way to go, Team Agriculture!

Queen or Leah McLaren? Tonight, McLaren will be sharing the stage at the Gladstone with Katrina Onstad. Canada AM's Seamus O'Regan might want to wear a black and white ref's jersey just in case a fight breaks out between the two of them, seeing how Onstad makes not so veiled insults at McLaren in her new book.
Persuant to Friday's discussions of the merits of Eckler and McLaren, and who would win in a blindfolded mud wrestle, TOist would like to enter yesterday's NYTimes style piece by Rebecca Eckler as exhibit A in the case for Eckler. Yes, Leah has both a farm and a perky nose, but Eckler has two men, a little lady, and the skills necessary to expose her shambling affairs to anyone who has the patience to stomach the travesty that is the Sunday Styles Modern Love column. Here at TOist we nearly lost our brunch when we got to the Modern Love page, but the fault lies squarely on our shoulders for having bothered to read past the cheerful enlightenment of 'A Night Out With Keren Ann.'
There are a lot of great advice columns out there for people struggling with love, but none compare to “Dear Raymi.” “Dear Raymi,” found at Better Living Centre, gives unsolicited advice to people searching for answers from Rebecca Eckler’s “Advice to the Lovelorn” column from the National Post. Raymi, of Raymi the Minx (kind of sometimes NSFW), is one of Toronto’s most famous bloggers and has a keen sense of love, life, sex, and relationships. Yesterday’s post was the second time Raymi has written her “Dear Raymi” column. We can only hope BLC and Raymi keep this going for a long time. It’s blatantly honest and extremely funny. Have a read and enjoy.
