It's election day today! So go vote. If you don't vote, nobody will ever truly love you and you will die alone and unmourned. This is a statistical fact. In further Ontario election news, the party leaders all make their final claims as to why you should vote for their party here, and none of them make the argument that they deserve your vote for being the whitest guy in Ontario, because all of them......

Tut tut tut. We’re all very disappointed in you, John Krasinski, for your decision to star in License to Wed. Sure, you’ve been working so hard to build up your hipster cred—interviewing the Shins, playing on stage with Ben Gibbard, but I’m afraid we might have to revoke your hipster privileges. The Sun’s Kevin Williamson claims of the film, “you can at least approximate the experience of sitting through this alleged romantic comedy at home......

A quiet night in yesterday, but then we did go and see four films... Sleeping Dogs - Terrance Odette's latest feature is the story of a blind, bitter alcoholic who escapes from his rehabilitation unit to save his dog, which he believes is about to be put down at the city pound on his brother's orders. This is a subtle film with a small scope, and while the performances are excellent, there really doesn't feel......

This review of Real Time comes to us from a guest contributor, Johnnie Walker, whose play The Zoo-Keeper's Love Song appeared in last year's Fringe Festival. The Fringe may be over, but thanks to The Diesel Playhouse, a bunch of Fringe shows are getting short rep runs over the next two weeks. One of these shows is Real Time, so if you didn’t get a chance to catch this fast-paced and pretty hilarious rom-com during......

The films we've seen thus far have been refreshingly slow, excessive even in their length and pace. Chilean Pablo Solis' Parentesis (Time Off) was shot on miniDV and blown up to 35mm, and it looks beautiful. Its protagonist, Camilo, is a 28 year-old night shift video clerk, who aimlessly wanders Santiago, buying records and trying to tire himself out. It's all of no use though - his insomnia is merciless. Camilo's girlfriend asks for a......
