We love giving away free stuff, and since it's Pride Week, why not go with a theme? Thanks to our friends at Morningstar Entertainment, we've got two Pride-related DVD prize packs to give away. Here's what's included in each: A story of two school pals ostracized by their friends and family, The Two of Us was once the most controversial film ever produced by the BBC. Causing an political uproar when first aired in......

Photos of trey anthony, Dawn Whitwell, and Gein Fence courtesy of Get Your Lit Out. Dear readers: please help give an author a chance to get married on the midway at this year’s Calgary Stampede. Really! While living in Toronto, Scarborough-raised Natalee Caple wrote many fine books, among them The Plight of Happy People in an Ordinary World (Anansi), and Mackerel Sky (Thomas Allen). The CN Tower isn't the only building this week to get a rainbow makeover (just in time for Pride Week, we might add). The latest skyscraper to adopt what seems to be an approaching fad is the almost-complete Met Condos at Yonge and Carlton Streets. The cylindrical cornice was lit for the first time tonight with computer-controlled LED panels, similar to those now being tested at the CN Tower. For now, the Met simply......

This Torontoist has been to prides in three cities. My first began with a serendipitous walk on 5th Avenue in New York City four years ago. With nearly 300 groups represented in their Pride March, it was quite the introduction to the celebration of queerocity. Only after did I go to my own city's Pride: Divers/Cite. With a strong community focus, the Montreal Parade tears through downtown... or at least used to... But the......
