Hundreds of people braved the year's worst storm to march along Bloor and Yonge on International Women's Day, Saturday. This year the march marked the 100th anniversary of a demonstration by 15,000 immigrant women in New York to draw attention to working conditions and child labour. This new advertisement for Johnnie Walker whisky which has recently festooned Union station is clearly attempting to ally its product with our fair city by blatantly ripping off the Torontoist logo. Oh, sure. The buildings are in a different order and they use the Skydome instead of a streetcar and they throw in the outline of what I assume is meant......

Residents of Harbord Village may have lately found themselves tickled, scandalized, offended or bemused by a strange crop of recent graffiti notable on the south side of Harbord between Spadina and Bathurst.
