The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominations for the Oscars this morning. Canada done good. Torontoist fave Sarah Polley landed a nod for Best Adapted Screenplay for Away From Her, based on the Alice Munro story "The Bear Came Over The Mountain." Telus announced on Tuesday that it’s pulling out of the bidding war for BCE, Canada’s biggest telecommunications company, after citing "inadequacies" in the bidding process.
