On June 20 & 21, the TSO will play a medley of Star Trek themes with conductor Erich Kunzel, and hosts......

Let's take a look back at a week that raised this Zen koan: if Kevin Federline got into a wrestling ring with a wrestler, who would you root for? Austinist was in an entertainment state of mind as they covered the dickens out of the Austin Film Festival, depicted all the Big 12 football coaches as South Park characters, and interviewed Jose Gonzalez. Following the success of Spamalot, another part of the Monty Python canon is about to be "lovingly ripped off". This time it's the British comedy troupe's 1979 film, The Life of Brian. Eventually, after Gilliam began screening the film personally and critics suggested it......

Council voted 39-2 in support of the City's 2015 Expo Bid. The next step involves courting the Provincial and Federal governments for funding. Queen's Park and Ottawa are expected to foot a huge chunk of the bill, including $2.8 billion for cleaning up contaminated soil near the lakefront, and a possible $700 million deficit after the event. The TTC is still running despite edicts from the union not to enforce fare collection it seems that......

One of Toronto's larger theatres will soon be dominated by singing, dancing knights, killer Rabbits and farting Frenchmen. Yep, Spamalot will be making a quick jaunt up to Toronto sometime next year as part of Mirvish's 2006-07 season. We were happy to see the Monty Python inspired musical do very well on Broadway, winning three Tony's and going on a fairly solid run, especially after reading the hilarious Dave Eggers piece in the New Yorker......
