These days, everyone and their grandmother has a celebrity gossip blog. Perez Hilton became a millionaire by outing Lance Bass and defacing paparazzi photos, while TMZ.com (named for the Thirty Mile Zone surrounding Hollywood) came out of nowhere in 2005 and almost instantaneously became the top site to see celebrities behaving badly.
It's election day today! So go vote. If you don't vote, nobody will ever truly love you and you will die alone and unmourned. This is a statistical fact.

Toronto's Film Festival is notorious for being "the people's festival," where the general public can interact with actors and directors over their work, with celebrity taking only a secondary interest behind the art. Torontonians are likely to point and whisper when we see a famous face breezing through Holt's instead of running-up for autographs. My favourite example of this was waiting for the light to change at Bloor and Bay when I overheard, "Hey, that's Dustin Hoffman. Do you wanna get a hot dog?"
So the first question you may have for is in our coverage of the first day of the festival is “What’s the gossip from the opening night party?” And we have to be honest, it’s not really like we know if there even was any. But still, in the style of a gossip column, kinda:
