Rosie DiManno sucks. Every day (or so), poor Toronto Star readers are subjected to another over-the-top, awkwardly-written, occasionally-insulting column about the day's top depressing story from the purple-streaked purveyor of pulp. It's about time someone took out the trash. DiManno Watch has been dormant for two months. The last article on Torontoist––three DiManno articles in one––was a little much; no-one can take that much Rosie DiManno, and it sure is easy to get carried away......

Ottawa denies entrance to Nelson Mandela's wife. Winnie Madikizela-Mandela was supposed to give a speech at a fundraiser gala last night, but was told that she was denied a visa because she had been previously convicted of kidnapping and fraud. The fact that she was allowed in the United States three weeks ago means nothing. Come on, the U.S. never lets anyone in! The Ontario government is handing over $4 million to keep kids busy......

Jordan Manners will be laid to rest today. His mother is calling out for an inquest so that her 15-year-old son did not "die in vain." If it prevents another shooting in this city, we're all for it. A Taliban spokesperson took responsibility for shooting down the helicopter and......

Two arrests have been made in the shooting death of 15-year-old Jordan Manners. The two boys, both 17, were allegedly very close friends with Jordan, and even attended this weekend's vigils and had offered condolences to Jordan's mom. Here's hoping that this does not prompt more ignorant white guys to claim that children of single mothers shouldn't be friends. Corporal Matthew McCully's body will be arriving at CFB Trenton today. He will be having......

A 69-year-old Newmarket man scaled Mount Everest, making him the oldest Canadian to conquer the peak. Makes you feel kind of guilty for wheezing at the top of the staircase, eh? The city struggles to cope with the shooting of 15-year-old Jordan Manners at C.W. Jefferys Collegiate Institute on Wednesday. Classes were cancelled yesterday, but the school remained open for grief counselling. The boy's family grieves, classmates mourn via Facebook, and Rosie DiManno writes......
