The bands for both the University of Toronto and Ryerson's frosh week concerts are all confirmed and good to go, and they're all extraordinarily excellent.

Toronto has exploded in festivals this weekend. Scream, Toronto Outdoor Art Expo, Fringe, uh, Molson Indy. Not to mention The Big Game. But there is another festival happening right now that is worth making time for: Beats, Breaks and Culture. This Harbourfront festival focuses on urban electronica, global flavours, and touches on the 4 pillars of hip hop, including live graffiti creations and the largest breakdancing competition in Canada.

Since there hasn't yet been an article that really articulates what we're about here, Torontoist has decided to submit our own. And this isn't some monthly fluff piece, this is really indicative of our culture and personal constitutions. Two months ago in Toronto Life, Globe writer and Queen's University alumni Russell Smith planned out 24 hours of activities in Toronto without regard to cost or plausibility. Last month, impish designer Joeffer Coac told Toronto Life how he'd spend a single perfect day in Toronto on an unlimited budget. And now, it's Torontoist's turn.

Chromewaves tells us he's going to NINE shows in May, and 1051am are on a similar pace. Even our little friend PaigeSix has been to three concerts in the last week. So we ask you, is it us that is too music orientated? Or is that April has been totally rad for concerts? Here's tonight's line-up:
