HOLIDAYS: Christmas season wouldn’t be complete without a look at the seasonal window display of the Bay. The Bay calls this year’s theme “Enchanted Forest.” They’ve brought back last year’s animated Santa window, referring to it as an “encore presentation.” We’ll call it "used," but even Santa can be forgiven for being on a budget this year. MUSIC: Toronto electro-punk-nintendo-beep-and-bloop duo Crystal Castles are sure to kick ass tonight at CiRCA (copyright infringement issues aside). These guys put on one hell of a show, and their hipness peak is probably approaching fast given that they've gone from performing in Parkdale to rocking the Harbourfront Centre and CiRCA in just eight months. So if you don't want to wait until next year to catch them opening for Kenny Rogers at Casino Niagara, you'd better head downtown this evening. CiRCA Nightclub (126 John Street), 10 p.m., $15.

Artist Damien Hirst's diamond-studded skull reminded us that we used to live across the street from a lady who kept a magical Mayan crystal skull in her house. Which got us to thinking about other spooky things. So we've compiled a list of ten, supposedly haunted places in the city. Make your own ghost walk and if you do actually see a spirit, please let us know.

Shopping and the Santa Claus Parade are all fine and good, but baking over a hearth and drinking apple cider might just be a better way to celebrate the holidays. Most of the City’s museums are open year-round, but they really shine during the holiday season. Giant Edwardian Christmas tree, anyone? Historical cooking and paper chains? Yes please!
