Tall Poppy Interview - Mark Shyzer, Bawdypolitic.ca T-shirt Designer

Torontoist doesn't partake of enough wacky pastimes. This picture, of a Clusterballooner, makes our complete lack of an adventure gene painfully clear. Yesterday was one of the clearest days we'd seen in a while, a day so crisp you could even see the ugly bank logos gleaming atop their respective towers. In short, a perfect day for clusterballooning.

and was promptly kicked out of the Liberal caucus. Now she's decided to make a further ass out of herself by appearing on Global's Train 48. Which is a shame since C.P. had an interesting political career going, even winning the largest nomination meeting in the history of Canadian politics in 1993. I guess this all means there will never be a Lake Carolyn. Parrish the thought.

We're late on this, we know. Asleep at the wheel, Torontoist neglected to post this pic of a Giller gown worn by Fine Print host Carolyn Weaver to the award ceremony. We don't know what to say except why? Also, why, why, and why? Torontoist is happy that Ms. Weaver wants to bring a bit of glam to the ceremonies, but is this garish ensemble the way to go about it? And is she wearing Carolyn Parrish's boots? Weaver was criticized for her outfit last year, and responded to said criticism by telling lit purists to 'lighten up.' Would she had taken her own advice to heart when crafting this Giller Goth monstrosity.

A chill wind blows through Toronto's western suburbs this evening as Mississauguans come to terms with the fact that access to the Liberal pork barrel is no longer theirs to enjoy. Famed wild card MP, and apparent vodoun houngan, Carolyn Parrish has been pushed out of the Liberal Party gulfstream with an Acme anvil in her parachute sack.

President George W. Bush is expected to make his first stately visit to Canadian soil later this month, causing some concern in our nation's capital. As previously reported on Torontoist, a certain federal MP (that's you Carolyn Parrish!) has ridiculed the sitting president and his allies on multiple occasions, one time even calling American people "bastards."

But back to Parrish's inflammatory parliament turn. Torontoist agrees that there's much to fear in four more years o' Bush, but Ms. Parrish could have been a little more mindful of the 51,000,000 Americans who voted for Kerry. And she is an MP. As the pseudo-journalistic riffraff that we are, Torontoist feels comfortable shouting the occasional html invective. But we're not MPs. And we don't hurl our opinions in places where they can wreak havoc on International diplomacy. Except maybe that time we started yelling anti-Bush slurs in Texas.
